Cooper S exhaust options?

I'm trying to decide what exhaust to go for in the New Year. Originally I'd thought Remus but I'm really not that bothered about a valvetronic system.
I've seen videos of Scorpion and Millitek systems but they just don't sound as good in my opinion.

Does anyone know of a system that sounds as good as the Remus but doesn't have the electronic valves?

Depends on if your priority is acoustics or performance.
Typically they will have the valve because of noise laws in some of the countries they are marketed to. Just like the JCW tuning kit, which comes with a disclaimer about opening the valve on public roads. With that said, if you have a custom muffler shop in range you'd be surprised how much a good shop can manipulate acoustics in 5 or 600 dollar borla system. However you will not be getting any performance gain . I went with a cat back with the intention of further modifying the exhaust system upon warranty expiry, gotta get this bad boy breathing right!
I think Remus has the best sounding exhaust though.

Just my $.02, since I have the NonS B38 engine.

I love my Remus system and it sounds brilliant. Well made and the price was right!

Do it. You won't be disappointed

You may want to check out the AWE systems.

Price is reasonable and feedback is good.

I'm thinking the Remus system might be the one. Although I'm not bothered about having the valves - the system itself sounds awesome and i haven't found anything that even comes close...

Remus is a quality system and does give you the horsepower boost as well. Make noise, go fast, and most importantly have fun and enjoy the ride!

I'm a newbie waiting for my S to arrive so please excuse me. I've read the JCW pro exhaust upgrade comes with a reprogram of sorts and I don't think the Remus has that program option. Would it be safe to say the JCW Pro has more power to be gained because of the reprograming if that vs. Remus catback. Just wondering, it's an expensive upgrade either way, lol.

Yes, the JCW Tuning kit will give you around 30 bhp hike whereas a good exhaust will net circa 5-8 bhp

Last year I had installed the "S" from Quicksilver. It was FedExed from Britain through Out Motoring. Inexpensive, loud, no wiring, and the Mini mechanics love it. Stainless and carbon tips and all under $1,000. Had it welded for install.

You will immediately feel the difference after they reprogram with the JCW tune, you are not going to get that with any of the other exhaust upgrades....just sucks you can't get the Tune as a standalone....you could however purchase the tuning kit, have the software updated and then sell the exhaust to fund an aftermarket option.
