Reset Oil Change Interval 2015 F56 Cooper S

Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere but I couldn't find it. How do I reset the oil change service interval after changing the oil? I am finding how to reset the interval on earlier model Mini's but nothing for the newest model with the computer on the central dash. Thanks for any help!

I would say hold off on resetting the oil change interval. Since your car has "free" service for 3 years, keep the service interval as is and just take it to MINI when the interval is up and they'll do it for free. Even if you already changed it, it can't hurt to do it a bit more often.

Thanks for the reply. My Mini has a salvage title though and all manufacturer warranties are null. It was a flood car in Houston, TX this spring. I found how to reset it though. I used methods I found for previous models and it was all done with the Trip Reset button. Holding it in and then toggling through the options.

Can you expound on this? (The procedure I mean). I am past the warranty and will be needing to do my oil soon. I did find a procedure for "2014 MINI" but it discusses inserting a ket, etc. Obviously not for our cars. Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm with subguy. I might want to do it at some point or at least change brake pads. Please be so kind as to do an instruction sequence for us in the tech how to bit if you have time mwelacha. Lots of us will be very grateful in the future!

There is definitely a thread on here somewhere; switch the iginition on while holding down the trip reset button starts the menu from memory but a search should find it for you!

With the ignition on (but engine off), hold the TRIP 0.0 button on the instrument cluster for about 15 seconds to get into the service reset menu. Quick presses will scroll through the options, long presses will select, similar to how the 2nd gen MINI's instrument cluster menu worked.

Hey subguy, I'm sorry I honestly didn't see your reply until right now. Didn't see the other person's either. I didn't write down how I did it and I am changing my oil again so I'm looking for the same information...When I find it, I will try to remember to post it here. Like someone said though, I do remember that it was the same basic procedure as a previous mini model.
