Time to start upgrading the JCW - A lot of pictures....

Hi all,

Had the mini JCW in Thunder Grey for just over 2 years now....

Finally decided to put some money into the car to make it a little different.

So far Iíve wrapped some bits on the car which include:

- Belt line
- Rear tail light surrounds
- Front headlight surrounds
- Grille surround stickers (Chilli Red)

I also tried smoking the front lights but didnít like the look and ended up peeling them back off! What do people think? Did I do the right thing

I will keep on updating here as I got a few bits going on this week for a slight performance gain

Also when more vinyl arrives I intend on taking the front bumper off to wrap the remaining chrome grille surround that is so annoying! Iíll probably end up doing the petrol cap too

Will

Looks Great. Why not wrap the door handles also?

Very nice your JCW, it is also very similar to mine. Look at my garage, please.

Looks great. Agree with your decision about the front lights. That didn't look cool.

Thanks for the input guys,

I think the door handles will be very tricky to wrap so may consider buying the stick on covers....

With a bit of luck I will be collecting the car from a place called Performance Engineering this evening

I would get the black handles from mini. They are under £100 and easy to fit. They are so much better than stick on ones and some of the stick on ones can be just as expensive.

Plus you can get some money back by selling your chromes ones.

They are Replacement units. I got mine at the same time as the black fuel cap, light surrounds and grill surround all for a great price from MINI.

You can get them on eBay for £90 from a mini dealer possibly even cheaper.

I saw stick on versions for £70 so it’s a bit of a no brainer if you ask me.

Time to start upgrading the JCW - A lot of pictures....

Bit of an update for you guys.....

The car has had a Stage 1+ map from a place in Cardiff Performance Engineering.

They have done 3 of my previous cars now,
Seat Leon FR, BMW 135i coupe, BMW M135i and now the Mini F56 JCW.

Car made a little over 300bhp which I will post the dyno graph when I get it.

The remap was coupled with a Scorpion decat, and Pipercross panel filter which has made a huge difference in regards to performance.

I also had some spacers fitted to the car with lowering springs. I know a lot of people use Eibach here but wanted to try something different and cannot complain! Ride quality is firm but not crashy at all.

Spacers 15mm front, and 20mm rear
Lowering Springs: H&R
