Mini F56 JCW - Cold start delete

Hi all,

Had some bits done to the car and as a result could be a bit noisy in the mornings....

Was wondering if anyone has omitted their cold start with software / coding?

I had it done on my previous car but the mini seems to be a little different.

Cheers
Will

You wouldnít want to keep it on all the time, would be drinking fuel and not sure if it would be too good for the car idling at say 1200/1500 rpms.

If noise is what you are after and didnít want to buy any parts maybe get coding to start car in sports mode and not mid mode Iíve heard people can do this via a Bluetooth or OBD dongle like bimmercode I think ?

The only way to delete the cold start that I'm aware of is with an ECU tune. I had mine deleted because it was loud to begin with, but after adding the catless DP it got way too loud. even with the flap on the exhaust system closed.

Yeah i'm sure right probably wouldn't do it any good !
I've coded it using bimmercode to start in sport but doesnt seem to be any louder, trouble is i dont have the ASD, and its a late 2018 model so no pops and bangs either But it does pop and bang on cold start !! arrrgghh so annoying!!

I paid for someone to install so wouldnít know but he did say there was a lot to disassemble to get to the downpipe.

Dealer would probably notice but Iím not bothered if your lucky I would imagine they would only void the exhaust warranty.....

Silly to think that for example an exhaust item would effect say a leak in my sunroof or something? *touch wood*
