Brake sensor

The brake sensor light activated on my wifes mini cooperF56. At less than 20k miles quickfit changed both the front discs and pads at nearly £400 pounds. As the light was still on they said we needed to change the rear discs and pads. I did this with help only changing the rear pads and sensor and managed to reset the sensor by following advise on the forums.
Now a month later the warning light is back on.
2 questions. Is there a way to identify if this is the front or rear sensor.
Can the sensors be shorted out or fitted with a resistor to disable them.

You can visually check the sensor .new ones should've been popped in when they did the discs and pads but you can diy. simply plug in and reset again .and yes there's a thread on here on how to disable them . But Kwik fit should have put new ones in. Criminal if they didn't.

Surprisingly delighted to have moved to an f54 JCW space, pace and sorry no grace; sheer aggression((with a r59 in the fold for roof off fun too!)

Hi seanlitar, 20k sounds very early to change discs and pads. Didn't think modern Mini's/BMW's still have brake sensor warning lights, I thought was all CBS.
The CBS is often wrong is only a best guess, needs a visual inspection. Also £400 for front discs and pads sounds steep. When we picked up our car last week the dealer showed us their website with prices;
Front Brake Pads & Discs £259
Rear Brake Pads & Discs £199
