Performance clutch

Hi all, anyone sourced a good uprated clutch kit yet? I'm running catless downpipe, K&N induction kit and stage 2 map on my F56 JCW and the standard item struggles with the torque...!
Thanks,

Wish there was something out there from a more widely known brand. I've been thinking about a remap, but the selection of clutches is holding me back. I like the SMF, but I dunno about those disc/PP parts. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm reluctant to buy a clutch from a company I've never heard of without some other road info from others.

I've been involved in the sausage making of clutch development in the past, and it involves a lot of downtime (and, if the developer isn't doing the wrenching, a lot of cost). Seems a bit dicey to me TBQH. Anyone running one of these?

Thanks skid,

I actually took the plunge and bought the JMTC kit but been away fir few weeks so havenít had a chance to update the thread.
Link here:
http://jmtcperformance.com/stage-1-t...f-series-2-0l/

I went for the following options:

26lbs Street, Track, and Strip Lightened Flywheel

Stage 3 Long life Kevlar with 30% Load Pressure Plate

JMTC Recommended Install Kit

They have been really helpful so far and very responsive on email. Iíll let you know how i get on once its fitted.

Cheers,

Mike

Sorry for the delay between posts.. i have actually been waiting all this time for that clutch to arrive. In the end i cancelled the order, waited far too long really i should have cancelled earlier.

Got a refund and ordered the helix 6 paddle cerametalic clutch and flywheel from lohen. Arrived within a couple of days, how easy!

I spent this last week bedding it in with a lot of ďaround townĒ careful driving and its starting to feel really nice. First drive was a shock though as it was very raw and had a lot if vibration, but that soon went after a few journeys.

Pulling away from a standing start is still tricky but its getting easier and havenít stalled it yet fingers crossed.

Up and down the gears is no different especially with the miniís rev matching on down shifts..

Holds the full 488Nm from the manic map now

Hi all,

I am new to the forum.

Would you all say the Helix is the best clutch for the money?
My JCW is a manual if that makes any difference.

Looking todo the clutch and LSD before i get it mapped; thanks for any help and advice?
