Here is a little more from Motoringfile. Love the seats a thumbs down of the looks on the new shifter. Funny that they showed the new Clubby without a JCW Steering wheel.

Many of you never thought we’d see this day come. Way back in 2014 we first told you about a project deep inside MINI to bring a 300 hp JCW Clubman and Countryman to market. Today that’s a reality with the debut of the 301 hp JCW Countryman and Clubman.

Does anyone know what’s different between the brakes on these new cars and the current JCW brakes? They look identical yet they’re saying there better

They need to be better, the std JCW brakes on a heavier Clubman JCW are not good enough as it is, given the power hike, and the LSD for even more grip, they need to be better!!

I think I read somewhere that the discs are bigger, but the same calipers.

The Motoringfile article says the rear brakes are now 4 piston calipers and the brake discs are 360 × 30 millimeters front and 330 × 20 millimeters rear.
Brake cooling has also been improved.

Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front wing; oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back wing; horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall; torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it.

Seriously, the one big thing I noticed coming from an F56 JCW was the braking, or lack of it... My F56 would stop without too much pressure on the pedal, my F54 needs a definite push on the pedal.

But if you think about it, using the same brake set up as the F56 on a car a lot heavier was always going to mean that the brakes were not as good.
