Not sure if this is dealer specific or nationwide, but I got $1500 off for closing a deal on an F55 before the end of Feb 2015. Supposedly this is a MINI incentive, and it's only for cars either in port or on the lot. Doesn't work if you previously ordered, and it arrives this month. I think it's for 2015 F55 and F56.

Sounds like Mini is trying to play catch up .. But there's another side to this. Mini has decreased the supply of the Countrymans to the USA and sent them to the Chinese market who pays more for that car (higher profit for the mothership) So they are trying to entice buyers into an F55\F56 from the Countryman..

I can't speak for special promotions, but I negotiated exactly $1,500 off the sticker price on my 2015 MCS hardtop in January. There was a $500 or $600 promotion at the time. My dealer is in Huntington, Long Island, New York. The first quarter of the year is the slowest sales period of the year, and dealers are more inclined to work for the sale during this time. The dealer didn't even resist my offer very much at all. Anyway, glad that you got a good deal and a great car.

Atleast in Sweden dealers are allowed to give up to 6% discount on msrp when buying the car privately and 8% if you buy it as a company car. If you buy a car thats been sitting in the lot/showroom a while i think there is room for 1% more discount.

I bought a demo car and got 18% of msrp, which seems to be their total front and backend margin on a car.

Hi JP,
I recently purchased (12/26) my 2015 "S" F56 hardtop in R.I. I initially showed interest in a 2014 F56 "S" hardtop that was in their inventory and was offered a price of 2K below MSRP. Then I decided that I wanted "My" colors and "My" specific options in a 2015 if I could get them right away. They located the exact one I wanted at another dealer in the Northeast and said the best they could do since it was coming from another dealer's inventory was 1K below MSRP which I was very happy with since it was to my specs and they had to locate it in another inventory. I never negotiated a price on a 2015 that was in their stock but I think you got a great deal based on reports I have heard from others who have recently purchased 2015s (F55 & F56) locally.
I have nothing but great things to say about my dealer and advisor. A first rate experience all around.
Best of luck with your new Mini, JP.

Thanks Bird. Not sure if you read my other post, but the reason I got this deal was because the one I special ordered back in Dec and waited 8 weeks for arrived damaged. I hope to have this one maybe end of next week. Getting excited!!!

Hi Again JP,
I did look back at your earlier posts, you must be more than ready to get behind the wheel. You will love every minute, it keeps getting better as you learn about it's technology.
But obviously the weather we are currently experiencing may limit your mileage at first. Mine's spent more time in the garage than I had anticipated. I just can't bring myself to subject it to all the snow and sand and salt. i'm sure next Winter will see me in all kinds of conditions, but it's so new, i can't do it now. At least you'll have it in your possession finally.
