Just took delivery of a 2015 S Hardtop!! The Rear Gate Latches closed but does not lock!! Other doors, etc. work fine.. Will take it back but just thought I'd ask in case there is an easy fix!

This will show my stupidity!

I thought mine wasn't locking as well, the first week or so. Then I realized I have the comfort access option. 'Doh!

I stood far enough away and had my wife run over to make sure it was locked. Yep. Hahaha! Whenever I go near it with the key in my pocket it's unlocked--imagine that! ;-)

Okay, I'll admit I did this too once. Comfort access is handy but...

Before you send the car back to the dealer, lock the car with the fob, have a buddy or spouse try the hatchback with you not touching the car and with the fob in your pocket. If it opens then you have a problem. If not then it's as it's supposed to be.

No, you don't need to "lock" the trunk. If you have comfort access, the car automatically locks it for you, once you are far enough away.

It will automatically "unlock" the trunk when you come back near the car with the key fob.
