It's real simple.....MARKETING! On the one hand I think it's great that MINI offers such a great variety of cars! On the other hand, for those of us who plunked down ALOT of money for a new F56 JCW, some may feel a bit miffed that the exclusivity of having a JCW is watered down with all of the JCW wannabe renditions of the MINI.
For me, it's all good because they are all great cars! I do think some of the add ons for the JCW should have at least been offered to those of us who ordered the new JCW....for me I didn't even know about the JCW Pro options! New models always experience growing pains & buyers cannot educate themselves too much before buying.
Yes, I miss the fog lights on my JCW, but there is a very good reason for them not being there...that makes it alright with me, and there's one thing that can't be "copied" by a non-JCW! It is definitely a more aggressive look with the additional intake area in the grill opening!
I can't wait to see the JCW GP Edition when it launches! ;-)
Again though, in the end it's all good! Not many car makers generate the excitement in special editions & by owner modifications than MINI!
Cheers,
John
