Hi. I have a 2019 Cooper S Sport that's just had Mini Driving Modes retro-fitted (switch panel and option coded by a Mini specialist). The switch works fine, steering weight and throttle response changes but the exhaust doesn't pop and bang like my old 2012 Cooper S with Chilli Pack. :(

Is there anything likely to be missing or does the 2019 have a different exhaust system that doesn't allow the same amount of noise (I read somewhere about additional particulate filters fitted to the later cars)?

Was expecting something like this:

Thanks
Ben

The petrol particulate filter hammers the pops and bangs I'm afraid-if yours is that model. If you search on here there is a fair bit of chat about it.

I think 2018 was the year PPFs became standard in the UK so you're out of luck. No more pops and bangs I'm afraid.

Thanks both, it sounds like I should have bought a year older car. :(
