Hey guys,

I've had 4 BMWs in a row, and now own a brand new MINI Cooper S. So I was wondering about one feature that I've grown so fond of in the winter.

In BMWs you could shut the engine off, turn on the REST button (in later models you could just set the AC level higher) and the car would use heat from the engine to keep your cabin warm when you're away.

I'm kind of missing this feature on my MINI, has anyone found a way to turn it on at all?

I remember that feature from my BMW as well and during a short stop in cold winters it sometimes was very nice. Unfortunately it's not on my MCS with the dual zone climate control either but I wont really miss it over here.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, this feature seems to be missing in MCS. And since it's around -15C right now, I do miss it! :D

You can set the air con to come on and cool the car but Not heat it I don't think.
