Placed order with Stevens Creek Mini

Just placed my order today at Stevens Creek Mini. saw lots people in the parking lot as well as showroom. Either the economy is good or the car is hot. I guess both. was told to expect 8-10 weeks for delivery. Unlike other manufacturers such as Volvo which gives customers online access to check the build status. Mini has to rely on the sales person to send out a weekly status report via email.

The girlfriend and I will be there today looking for another one for her.

She didn't know I was getting mine (heck, I didn't know I was getting mine until that day... Total impulse!), and she was really unhappy that I had gotten "the car that she wanted."

I told her "you know, they have more... and they'll make one just like you want it!"

Meanwhile, she keeps the extra fob, and drives mine most of the time when we're together. She just might be a better driver than I am.

Dredging up an old thread, but I wasn't on the board when it started up. :)

I have mine (VO F55) on order from Mini of Concord. It is currently in the "Scheduled for Production" status, should be done next week. Then I just get to wait while it takes the slow boat from...well...Southampton...

Hey! I'm in Hercules, so we're on opposites ends of Hwy 4.

I bought my first MINI from East Bay MINI in Pleasanton and was really happy with how they took care of everything. I ordered in August and picked it up in November, a total wait of 10 weeks.

I LOVE my dream car and it's well worth the wait!

I've been pretty happy with Mini of Concord thus far. They were able to locate an F55 non S with a manual transmission for me to test drive, which took a bit of doing. I'd been strongly considering the Mini beforehand, and the test drive just sealed the deal.

It isn't the first new car I've bought, but it is the first time I've ordered a car exactly how i wanted it. With a little bit of luck it'll be here by the end of February. Without the luck I might have to wait until the middle of March. So my fingers are crossed... :)
