When I collected my brand new Mini from the dealer I asked him to change the rear number plate as it was showing crazing to the letters around both screw holes, even though the plate can only have been on the car a couple of days at most.
Now 3 months on, the replacement plate has the same problem, so thinking of alternatives for fixing a new plate.

Is anyone using a number plate holder such as this Wurth locking frame sold on Amazon?

I stick mine on with 3M VHB tape, neat and permanent with no holes

Not in a holder but like the appearance of a large rear number plate, reminds me of the rear number plates on some classic minis.

Standard Jepson plate. Can only assume dealer doesn't know how to drill properly.

That looks to me like the screws have been over tightened to cause that, the guy who put the original plates on will be the same guy who put the replacement ones on, he/she should be taken off that job. No need to buy a holder, get new plates from the dealer and put them on yourself (let them know about the village idiot within).
