Just had a teaser video from the dealer.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSiXi-0yehE#t=18

Order placed on June 1st, signing the paperwork on Thursday, collecting on Sunday 28th.
Pictures just sent for the bonnet and boot viper stripes I want fitting before collection.

Couldn't wait until September.
Worked out that it would save me money if I collected it early.
  • Save £500 in my cars depreciation to Sept.
  • Due for a service in 800 miles, £240.
  • Needs new rear brakes

Sweet! There's no way in the world you would have waited until September knowing it was sat at the dealership. And the fact that you're saving money is just the icing on the cake!

Just out of interest, why Stratstone Derby and not Sytner Nottingham? I've used both of them an awful lot. I'm going to be at Stratstone next week, I might take a sneaky peak at yours if I can see it ;):D

Hi Deonair, I had been popping into Sytner since September last year looking at various specs until I decided on one in May.
After having an extended test drive (given very reluctantly), and one after to confirm firmness of the 17" wheels compared to 18" with Run flats, I started negotiations on a car. They gave me a low trade-in price and wouldn't discuss any discount. When they worked out the monthly payments, removing £6,000 deposit (including trade-in) the monthly payments worked out at £370 (ish).
I tried to explain that the website calculator was nowhere near this (about £320) but the sales guy wasn't interested. I realised that I wasn't getting anywhere so left, pretty pissed off.
Later that day I went to Stratstone and found the staff completely different, very happy and helpful. They gave me a better price for my car, discount and the payments dropped to £290.
Someone on this forum recommended Stratsone and they were not wrong. Very impressed.

Hope that explains it :nerd:

I've had 2 bad experiences with Sytner sales wise and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now but I have always found the service dept there impeccable. Stratstone are indeed great and really friendly.

Not long now til you get your shiny new car :D

Collected this morning and had a decent drive around. Love this car.
I am in gadget heaven with the media XL and HUD.

Stopped at the nearest petrol station to fill up and had 2 separate people comment on the car.

Here are some pics.
Could have done with checking my attire in the mirror before I left the house though ;)
My eldest girl wouldn't have her picture taken and my youngest wanted the bow.
