Has anyone tried this? I was just flicking through the Mini's menus and found Auxiliary Heating under Climate, looks like you can program 1 or 2 with different times..

Does this let you warm the interior up before you get in the car in the morning?

I'm not sure it's heating, I think it's just venting the natural air through to cool it in summer. I could be wrong but I think for heating the engine needs to be on (uses the warm coolant as a heat source?)

Yeah that makes sense, some cars do have parking heating though, my friends Range Rover does this but I can't remember if it starts the engine or not..

I'd be happy if it just turned the heated screens and seats on a few minutes before I got in :)

This might turn out to be my favorite feature of the car. Living in AZ, you can bake a ham in the car during the summer. Having the fans automagically reduce the temp from 5,000C to 45C before I drag myself across the parking lot would be very helpful.
