The MINI F5X S-FLO Carbon Intake:

Boasting a carbon fiber heat shield design composed of 3k, 2x2 twill carbon fiber, the MINI F5X S-FLO Carbon Intake delivers a significant dose of respiratory refinement to the 2.0T engine. The engineered design allows high pressure air sourced from the leading edge of the vehicle to stay cool, while also uncorking turbo and diverter valve volume.

Utilizing factory intake and MAF mounting locations, the AWE Tuning MINI S-FLO is engineered to mate seamlessly to the factory air inlet pipe -- perfect fitment and check engine light-free operation. Guaranteed.

The S-FLO Filter:

Sporting a proprietary design, the AWE Tuning S-FLO Filter’s increased flow rate helps to unlock 9 hp and 10 ft-lbs of torque at the crank, and provide a notable increase in throttle response.

The S-FLO Filter is washable and comes pre-oiled.

What’s in the box:

The AWE Tuning F5X S-FLO Carbon Intake includes the carbon fiber airbox, the AWE Tuning S-FLO Filter, and all necessary hardware.

Did anyone actually receive this kit ?
I paid AWE for this intake kit back in March, and until today AWE told me there's still some issues havent been solved.....
I've been waiting for almost 6 months, quite disappointing..

I received mine no bother. However there was a problem with the CEL light coming on and this is what the guys at AWE are working on resolving. I have regular feedback and updates from the AWE guys.

How is the CEL issue going? any resolution. I was thinking about ordering one of these but don't really want the CEL issues.

Best Regards

I got tired of waiting and went with the ArmaSpeed.
Very interested in your impressions of this. It really does look awesome. Did you get the variable or non-variable version?

I like it. I can't tell definitively that it adds power, but a cooler freer flowing intake can't be a bad thing. I went with the non variable because that's all that was in stock in the US and I didn't want to wait 3-5 weeks for a special order. I can upgrade to the variable when and if I decide to by purchasing the variable air filter and associated bits.
IMO, though expensive, it is without a doubt the best looking intake available for the F56.

How about sound? One thing I like about intakes is the sound ... does this one deliver?

Nope. It's a closed CAI system and not a noisemaker. I've had a couple of different aftermarket systems on the car before the ArmaSpeed and wasn't impressed with the noise they make. Sounds more like the car has a case of the shivering fits than power. My pipes make all the noise I need. Just my opinion and YMMV.
