I have an iPhone 5c - it connects either using the standard cable that comes with the phone (this actually also charges the phone via the USB port on the dash). It also connects via blue tooth. It streams music content and syncs with your contact list and displays them on the central display or HUD if you are lucky enough to have this on your car.

I currently have a Galaxy Note 2 but I got that for the big screen and sat nav for my current audi. I won't need a big screen with the new mini so considering changing back to iphone in November. Be interesting if the mini will support the iphone 6 when it comes out.

I *assume* that if you are using bluetooth, most recent phones should work well.

By the way, if you have Mini Connected, you really want a iPhone. The Android connected is not so ... connected.
I have an android phone and would be really interested in exactly what an iPhone does with the MINI that an android can't. With my research, unless you have an extremely outdated android or iPhone, everything will work.

See this thread: http://www.minif56.com/forum/409-electronics-audio/6193-mini-connected-android-app.html

I posted pictures of Mini Connected using an iPhone. You'll see much more options than when you connect an Android phone. The problem is not with the phone, it's the application that is very recent under Android and not fully developed yet.

I didn't get mini-connected package, have an older Android (Samsung Galaxy S2) - the phone works fine via bluetooth, but no music streaming. The functionality is obviously there, just blocked.
Dealer claims that the USB input should work, but it doesn't, I saw somewhere that only LG and HTC phones are compatible.

So I have to use AUX for music. Have not tested how that interacts with bluetooth for phone function.

Android phones, when connected with USB have two ways of showing off.

1- as a drive
2- as a camera

Try both ... maybe that would help?!
