Our MINI story so far ...

Our first MINI was a new MINI Cooper bought in 2008. Chilli red / white roof

As you can see went a bit crazy on the chequered theme lol

Did a couple mods on this MINI including, a set of new crown 17" alloys, JCW scuttles, MINI genuine parts chequred dash and a chilli red boot handle to replace the chrome one

We sold this after about a year

Then in 2010 we bought a three year old MINI Cooper S with the dealer fit stage 1 JCW engine kit fitted

Did few mods on this one too - genuine black JCW R112 alloys, wrapped the beltline, front and rear light surrounds, petrol filler cap, black mirror caps fitted, scuttles replaced & a ITG cone filter

Looked like this when we sold it -

Foreword to September 2013 when we got a new R56 Midnight Black & Chilli Red FJCW Hatch

Due to practicality issues and more Grandkids lol this was sold in March 2015 after 18 months of ovwnership

With the need for more space in the future the Ka has to go
The replacement?

F55 MINI Cooper S 5 Door
White silver metallic
Roof & mirror caps in black

Cloth double stripe upholstery
Colour line - Carbon black
Interior trims - Gloss black check

16" Victory spoke alloy wheels in black

So I reckon I must have the most basic spec F55 MCS 5 door around lol
Still, in standard form there is ample enough spec for me / us, so we're happy enough

Having never tried and always wanted to try a lease deal, I couldn't resist this one over 2 years
With it being a lease car the modding will be little to non-existent. Honest!

We were initially quoted end of September early October delivery, but having just recieved an email from the Lease broker -
'Just a quick update to advise you that your vehicle is scheduled to be with the dealer the week commencing the 5th of September'

So it looks like we are going to get it much sooner than expected !

But it just sits in there very loosely otherwise and I reckon the slightest bump will knock it out again

I just eased mine in with a bit of gentle pressure. I've had no probs so far (fingers crossed)
BH, nice thoughts. I am so old I remember when cars came with ash trays and the dealer gave you floor mats for free too close the deal....now you have to pay for them......:D

Looks like we could be similar ages then lol

Thanks for the part# on the triangle bracket!! I have been looking for the OEM part# for a while. I just ordered them for the wife's and mine!!

Just fitted them both bout 30 mins ago, here's one half done.

The offside one went in snugly. It's only after I fitted the offside one I've realised why the n/s one is loose.

When I pulled out the original bulb from n/s, the black plastic ring came off with it. I then transferred that over to the led bulb.

The o/s original bulb, however, came out without the plastic ring, that was still stuck inside the light housing. So the bulb went in and clicked.

I've left n/s with the loose fitting for now and will have another go tomorrow.

I also remember ashtrays and getting a nice set of mats, I also remember no seat belts or screen washers :D

Don't think I'm a similar age just old ;)

Looks great!! Kudos on all the pics, definitely shows off the color as well as you can outside of looking at it in-person. Haha. I had a question though, if you don't mind!

You actually have the JCW Interior package with the cloth seats.. I've been speccing mine online and it seems you get a lot of bang for your buck with that package. How do you like the seats though? Glad you went with them over the leatherette/leather? I'm trying to set the build up without the price skyrocketing, which is easier said than done lol
Keepon, welcome to the forum. I got the JCW Interior with the cloth seats they are a blessing in AZ. After 2 summers they hold up very well and are very easy to clean too my Mini got now 22K on the clock and they do not show any wear and tear. Of Course the tint helps.

Thanks for the welcome! And, good to know! Yeah, living in AZ, think it would be an absolute godsend haha. Honestly, I'm probably not going to get another car until 2018 but I love driving and feel a need to get a smaller, manual car that I can actually DD. MINI F55 seems to hit all the points! Just wish 2018 would get here sooner so I can get one :D

you probably already know, but the 3 things you mentioned missing, LED's, storage and mats are all part of the chilli pack, and tbh, you never buy a mini without a chilli pack.. leasing the car is different i suppose.

I agree with most of the comments you made now you have had yours a month,
im on 1600 miles in 3 weeks, and im sitting around 40mpg indicated however in real life works out at 35mpg and im using Tesco super 99 RON.
i feel the engine is great and toquey but anything past 100 (private track session) and it runs out of puff.. whereas my previous Clubby S pulled hard all the way to max..

im still undecided about the ride too, i have the 17's and its like driving with runfalts tbh.. even though they are not.. but that might be to do with the increase in tyre pressures they use now?

@keepon - Thanks !

Our MINI is a lease car & as such I spec'ed only 1 option, the 16" Victory spoke alloy wheels in black
The lease company included the metallic paint so the 'owner' chose white silver

Our car is a Uk spec car & as such the JCW cloth seats come as standard on the 'base' MCS

I would have loved the chilli pack but at an extra £100/month on the lease you can see why I didn't spc it
Definitely! It's a lot of car for what you can get it for and those extra amenities add up really fast. But wow, an extra 100 per year!!

I do wanna do a purchase, especially since I haven't dealt with a lease before, but I'm keeping a eye out for any lightly used MINIs showing up on the listings haha.
