Hi -

I have a 2018 F56 (non-s version). I didn't like how when i unlock/lock my car, it didn't make any sounds. So I went ahead and got an OBD adapter and the bimmercode app (full version) to change this in the settings. Everything checked out, it said coding finished, but I still do not hear the beep sound.

Is this something that my car just do not have? or am I doing something wrong? I have followed every instruction on the start guide including putting my phone in airplane mode, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers!

If I remember correctly, to get an "audible" electronic sound, you must have an Alarm System. Otherwise, all you'll ever get is the mechanical sound of the locking mechanism. While I don't have the sound, my Comfort Access provides 2 cycles of flashing markers and lights to signify the car is locked. Single cycle of same to denote unlocking.

NO original alarm, NO sound. I'm sorry.
