BimmerCode

Hi everyone, I'd like your thoughts.
I'd like to start my car to always turn on in green mode or sport mode. I believe using the BimmerCode android app this is possible.

Has anyone tried it and does it work?
Are there any pitfalls to look out for?

I have a 67 plate Cooper.

Regards

Is there an how too to get the JCW tach in the HUD?
Not exactly, but the way is :

HU_NBT > EXPERT MODE > HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_ENABLE, HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_FES_ENABLE, and HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_GASSE_ENABLE to AKTIV.

Code

Then
KOMBI > EXPERT MODE > FZG_Aussttang,HUD _SPORTANZEIGE_ENABLE, HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_FES_ENABLE, and HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_GASSE_ENABLE to AKTIV.

Code

And it works :)
Does anyone know if "Auto Zoom" for Navigation in Visual Boost can be activated with BimmerCode ? It seems to have an option that may do this in HU_NBT > 3000_HMI > NAVI_AUTOZOOM.
Or this is only designed for Navigation XL.
Haven't posted in ages and this thread caught my (lurking) eye. Just to join in on the chorus, it works (JCW tach on my head, oh yes, yes yes, in my face, all of that, yes please) and I'm surprised how well it works.

Back when I had my ole 320i effdyn model (F30) from work, I also coded it but it was quite the faff. OBD2 to ethernet cable, fixing a windows VM, finding a usb ethernet adapter, getting the software, CAFD files and all that. It worked, it was just a big faff. This is brilliant. Money paid, no questions.

I'm hoping the bloke keeps it up to date, gonna get a LCI MCS and it'll have the new navi (like in the chubman) so the rumours go and I'll want my JCW tach on that as well.

I also fixed the seat heating temps (I don't have full leather, the nice half "faux" leather seats with the leather on the sides) to turn it down a few degrees as I find even on the lowest seating they cook my arse. Plus a few other bits and bobs while clicking around (DRL keeps the back lights on as well....seems safer).

Thanks OP for letting me know.

Does anyone know the coding to active cornering light (use fog light) when you don't have adaptative light ? Thx. I can't find how to make this on our F5x mini.
Ok silly question No 1, on a UK F54 Clubman...where is the OBD port?
On my F56 jcw its on the pillar to the right of your right (throttle) leg behind a plastic hinged door marked appropriately
Doh! See I said It was a silly question! thanks Chap, I'll have another look as soon as its light enough tomorra!

Hmm when I connect to car I see the attached, so for starters, no KOMBI, then if I open HU_NBT i get as shown in 2nd pic (in expert mode) so not the same as you guys...which is annoying. For reference mine is a 2016 Cooper Clubman.

Any ideas??

Cheers.

The HUD is in the HUD expert section I believe in the front Electronic Module?
Did you enter in 3000_HMI on NBT_HU ?

Those HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_ENABLE, HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_FES_ENABLE, and HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_GASSE_ENABLE are in this part.
On my car i got the John Cooper Works led light ring working. NBT_HU_EVO > 3000 > John Cooper Works HMI > Aktiv then enable in settings under standard view

Ok thanks for that, I'll look later. so where is KOMBI located?
Got the coding for the Rev counter in the hud but it does not work. All coding correct but mine is a April 14 car and sure it has to be later for it to work.
Sorted! yay, very happy :)

I found the 2nd set as follows

Instrument cluster (Kombi_101_F56) 3003 FXG_AUSSTATUNG, then HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_ENABLE, HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_FES_ENABLE, and HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_ENABLE. Then code. This along with Minims instructions a couple of posts back makes the magic happen.

I've also managed to code the radio to switch off when opening the door, rather than when the car is locked. This is in HEADUNIT and isn't in expert mode, so is pretty self explanatory.

Whilst mooching around in expert mode I saw something to put the indicators into the HUD, but it didn't work. I'm guessing there will be another command in another module somewhere, same as for the Tacho.

Thanks for all who posted stuff so far, lets keep it up!!!
