BimmerCode

Hi everyone, I'd like your thoughts.
I'd like to start my car to always turn on in green mode or sport mode. I believe using the BimmerCode android app this is possible.

Has anyone tried it and does it work?
Are there any pitfalls to look out for?

I have a 67 plate Cooper.

Regards

Today I was very close to brick my F55 Cooper AT
Here's what I tried to code with bimmercode:
* Start the engine without pressing brake. This option simple made my car not starting the engine at all. Nor with brake pedal down, nor without it - the engine didn't start. (I tried a long press on the start button, too). Then I tried "recover from backup", but it constantly failed reaching 15%. Finally I got it fixed setting this option back to "inactive". Oh God, it helped!
* Sounds when locking-unlocking the car. This option is now in the settings menu, but I can't enable it. Should I have an alarm to get speakers to beep?
* Video (codecs, video in movement) - still had no chance to test
* Start-stop off by default - it's the only option which worked
To sum it up, my experience with bimmercode is negative.
I recently had coded my F21 to enable acoustic locking and unlocking, it like yours comes up in the menu and you can simply turn it on and off like any other option available. It won't work however if your car isn't equipped with an alarm.
Using Bimmercode has anybody been able to code the mirrors to fold upon locking (i.e. immediately)? I couldn't seem to find this option on Bimmercode's website.

I know with the Carly app you set the amount of time needed to press the lock button for them to fold. You can set to 0 so they fold when you lock.

You could try emailing the maker of BimmerCode; there may be something via the Advance section.

Yes, this is possible in BimmerCode, as I have just done mine. I can’t remember the exact location, and I’m nowhere near the car at the minute, but you just set the comfort access delay to zero and make sure the fold mirrors is active as well.
Works ok on using the key fob, but pressing the button on door handle needs to be pressed for a fraction longer. No idea why.

Thats hardly a brick. You basically enabled a feature that wasnt an option. I did the same exact thing you did but instead of restoring I just went back in and de-activated the setting. No big deal.

You didnt need to stress out and try to restore from backup.
Does anyone know if "Auto Zoom" for Navigation in Visual Boost can be activated with BimmerCode ? It seems to have an option that may do this in HU_NBT > 3000_HMI > NAVI_AUTOZOOM.

Or this is only designed for Navigation XL.

I tried enabling this on Nav XL, but I can’t see an auto zoom on the map. Maybe it doesn’t work for MINI head units. Hope someone has this working and can share how to do it.
I've make a try on visual boost with Nav. It doesn't do anything for me.
You can try voice command, say "automatic zoom" . it replies OK, but nothing change.
Was just looking at winter tyres and wheels and wondering if the mini has a setting to calibrate the speedo based on wheel size. Obviously changing rim sizes has an effect on the speedo reading so how do mini cater for the different wheel sizes?

Yay. Thanks. Using the voice command enables it . Strange how that’s the only way to enable it, but hey. It’s working and I’m happy. Map now zooms in when approaching a turning.

Have you enable only "NAVI_AUTOZOOM" or "AUTO_MAP_ZOOM" too ?

I just enabled NAVI_AUTOZOOM. What does the other one do? Any ideas?
I don't really know, it's seems to be an option for old navigation unit. On some bow, both needs to be enable as i saw.
Does anyone know the default settings in bummercode for the ASD module on a cooper s or jcw?

I turned the asd off, but I lost my backup so have nothing to restore it to. The car is too quiet without the ASD enabled!

I was going to enable it on my July 2017 build MCS but the other day I just used the voice command "auto zoom on" and it enabled it, I didn't need to program it :D

Mine is set on : "Default value" in last bimmercode update. I never change this value.

I have the Tech pack which comes with Media XL :D

Thanks. I've sorted it now - when you set ASD to 'off', the 'default value' option disappears unfortunately.

The solution is to go into expert mode and set model to 'F055' and engine to 'b48a20'. This fixed it for me. I tried the 'f056' model option but none of the engines would re-enabled ASD.

I'm really surprised how quiet the car is when ASD is off. I've got a JCW exhaust on my cooper s, and a jb4 module, but it is still whisper quiet.
