Is it just me that likes the black grille on the 2016 or does the black grille improves the overall looks of the Mini? When my Mini gets the Hood repainted the grille will be painted in high gloss black.

I've got the black grille on my Mini and defiantly prefer it to the chrome grille

Personally I don't like the black slats... If I were to have the choice I'd choose the chrome line exterior on a Cooper or Cooper D as I think the black looks a tad on the cheaper side... However I'd feel different if the chrome outer casing was black too, then it would look nice!
