Hi Gents,

Just received my Cooper S last week and already have started on the mods. :)

First of all: Coming from a mini coupe - this car is a very nice upgrade and has been extremely nice to drive so far. Love all of the new features and it handles very well. The JCW Cross spoke wheels seem a bit small for the wheel well, so I suggest getting spacers & lowering which I also plan to do!

For anyone wondering what the blacked out parts will look like: I've had the belt line, headlamp & tail lamp rings all painted body color Midnight Black, as well as the Grille trim which will be installed tomorrow with updated pics. The OEM blackline trim will be available starting in August, just as they were for the R56 however I was not able to get much more detail from Mini Canada.

Also, an FYI - for anyone wishing to remove the front grille trim to paint, you have to drop the underbody panel & front bumper as per instructions...

Thanks everyone - sorry I haven't been on to check this for a while.

Just had the grille trim finally installed and will upload pictures tomorrow. It takes about 2.5 hours as they have to drop the front bumper/fender flares ect.

Attached are the JCW wheels currently available for F56. Cross Spoke & Cup Spoke (see JCW Concept wheels). The cup spoke are not available as a package until Spring 2015 as per Mini Canada, however you could order the wheels separately and your own tires to build as package which is what we will be doing at our dealership.

The packages are selling for about $3400 CDN retail, unfortunately I do not have any us prices.

Really cool car! Congratulations!

I was wondering...

Are the black light rings the official ones or did you use vinyl to wrap them? I'm debating what to do myself... If they're the official ones how was the fitting?

About the rear spoiler, looks great, its from a different brand right? the JCW one has that 'double wave' look, but i really like how this one is a little more noticeable and extends mor to the back...

Any info would be great! :)

I had them painted body color - absolute black. The OEM Black ones are now available though in piano black.

Hey, so what about the rear spoiler... Looks great! Care sharing where you got it or whats the story behind it?

Thanks
Hi Don, I believe the spoiler comes stock on the Cooper S. I didn't see anything that would have ordered otherwise when I put all the options in.

I've seen a few posts though of people getting the JCW or an aftermarket version put on which looks pretty nice!

Hey Sarge, Thanks for the clarification...

I presumed all MCS had the JCW spoiler, as most pictures of the MCS on the internet have that one fitted!... Now that you mentioned it I've noticed the one that comes stock with the MCS is like the one you have (obviously) as I searched more pics and looked a little harder. Good to know!

I will fit the JCW spoiler on my MC... Will black that out and also the head/tail light rings with vinyl. I find the official 'Black Line' accesories to be overpriced, so vinyl seems logical and easiest way. Will post some pics when its done :)

This looks so bad ass! I was planning doing the same when I get my MCS in the next week or so! How much did it cost for you to have all the chrome painted?
I have a family friend that works at a body shop - so I was fortunate enough to not have to pay this time :) but most of the time when we get the trim rings, belt line & grille trim painted they charge around $600-$700.
