I have been watching youtube reviews of the F55/56 over the past week or so. (Hubby is getting the F55 S, I'm getting the F56 S)
More than one mentioned that the pop and burble aspect of the Gen3 was either greatly minimized or gone altogether. But then I've read a few posts where people mention the burble, so I'm confused.
I have a great affinity for the pop and burble. I don't know why, it is just comforting to me. This will be MINI number 3 for me and number 2 for husband so we are just accustomed to it I guess.

Yeah, I get pops and burbling usually on downshifts with my paddle shifter automatic in sport mode. They seem to happen the most once everything warmed up.

OK, whew. I've gotten really good at getting mine to burble exactly when I want. I'm a dork I guess .

I think it's a little harder to hear since the cabin has better sound insulation, but if I roll my windows down or if somehow end up being outside my MINI while someone else is revving it (unlikely scenario), I can hear it as loud as it has ever been.

funny enough i tend to get more pops and burbles when the transmission is in mid mode and i don't even have to drive it hard, it just pops all the time.

Mine wont pop in mid, but it will go BWAAAAAAAA when I get into it while passing ha.

I have a full miltek system and it pops and bangs in sport mode and mid mode plus in green mode too
