Cargo Net

Does the cargo net you can buy at the dealer fit right into the std. storage compartment in the boot? I have 4 black round tabs on the sides that look like where the net may attach. Just checking before I buy one.

Thanks,

John

The part numbers you'll find in the links I gave for realOEM.
The RealOEM exploded view only shows the double net that attaches to the underside of the optional lid (#4) with 5 hooks. I didn't see a P/N for the floor net with 4 attaching points.
A Very nice lady from BMW called today and agreed with me and will be speaking with parts department to see what can be retro fitted and get back to me to resolve this amicably.
So here is hopping than can get it all sorted for us , not that I'm not happy with our new JCW that is.

Is there anything else missing that people have noticed and anything added I'm sure we have auto dimming RV mirror did not think that came with chilli pack?
Good luck with them Derek but you realise if you have autodim mirror you will have to pay them back as not in Chilli pack;)
Was in speaking to Jamie today and mentioned I had no c/net or side visor....but to be honest I'm not too bothered about them. I was actually looking for parts removed when aero kit was fitted but couldn't find them YET!!
I was trying to flog my plates for their demo:laugh:

I bet you don't want to sell that plate it was a steal at that price IMHO

This gets more confusing as mini site says we still get net on 2016 but one on top of compartment , also yes we have auto dimming mirror as manual one has to be flicked back and forward i thought the ADM was £150? oh well you are never sure so what else is not correct? not that im not pleased i have ADM:D

I've noticed a picture of lever for flicking manual dim somewhere but are you sure yours doesn't manual dim by rotating alarm led housing on base of mirror.........that's how my manual dim operates and was the same on my MCS.
Will maybe see if I can get a net.....4 corner hooks to fit 4 chrome rings I think....although will probably never use it!

Oh, you'll want to use the net when you carry soccer balls, basketballs, watermelon. :nerd: As in anything that rolls, bounces, and bumps against the quarter panels and your hatch... especially if the item happens to be juicy.

I checked that number out and it said for R56 , but i expect it will just be same net me thinks
Here's a pic from my dealer parts guy....he took a phone pic of another MINI in their inventory. Why doesn't this net come standard with every MINI? The attachment hooks are there on my car (2 on the seatbacks; 2 on the rear side of the floor compartment).

I'll likely buy this one, but I still would like a net that lays flat on the floor in the compartment.

Once I get the part # I will post it up. Open pic with Adobe to view.

What benefits does this net give?? It seems like it just hangs there and wouldn't really serve much purpose (other than play boot/trunk ping pong)...

Maybe this would be more use...

Agree these two strap sets look more useful than the net, although I think the net is really meant to be used with taller items sitting on top of the false floor.
Straps are more expensive though!!
Noticed on UK configurator they still mention a floor net as part of the storage pack that comes with Chilli pack -so where is it??? But of course as usual there is the normal disclaimer at the foot of the options.......we reserve the right to do this and that etc.....without telling their customers. That is definitely one way to drop places in the Annual Drivers Power Top 100 Survey.

Yup, there is "still" a floor net "somewhere"....cannot seem to get any answers. I'll probably get the tall net though....at least I'll have something to possibly use to keep things from juggling about back there! :)

Got my new Cargo Net today...see thumbnail pics. I actually quite like this net. It stretches out nice & firm and will definitely help keep things in place when I have items in the boot compartment.

BMW Group Part Number is 51 47 0 010 565 (It's called Boot/Trunk Floor Net)

Cheers,

John

Just got an email from Mini UK today after querying all the UNDERHAND deletions of equipment recently........have been told my General Sales Manager will be in touch in next few days.....will see what he says - might at least get a cargo net out of them as it is still mentioned on configurator. Thinking about it now I should have swapped the luggage floor out of my MCS which had the double pocket net underneath;)

please post some original pics of cargo net...
I kept the three nets from my R56. I'm going to try to figure a way to make use of them in my F56.
I contacted both my dealer and Mini separately, both confirmed that a cargonet is no longer included, even with the 4 anchor points in the boot.

Found a suitable net on Amazon at www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00VM1O5PW for under £10, though had to wait for shipment from Hong Kong. It conveniently folds in half and the hooks can be attached so there's a "pocket" for smaller items, too.
It might not be included with the car, but the net is still available....
