I've just bought a chrome nose scoop for my Thunder Grey MCS, but am not sure how to fit it as it didn't come with fitting instructions. I don't know how to get the old one out and don't want to break it. Has anyone changed the scoop themselves? Or shall I bite the bullet and get MINI to do it for me. It's only about a 15 min job, but like I said I don't want to break anything. Thanks for any help.

Hi maxaroo,
I want to change my nose cone from Thunder Grey body colour to gloss black or carbon fibre look.

Can't find one either OEM or replica at the moment but it can't be difficult to change.

I remember an F56 forum member who is on the ball with changing parts, try R99's threads.
I am sure he has changed the scoop on his F56.

You need a good set of trim tools - but I broke 2 tabs off when removing my OEM body colour scoop, its incredibly brittle :(

Chrome isn't for me, but I had the JCW carbon fibre piece fitted. After breaking the original scoops tabs I decided to get the dealer to fit the JCW piece, that way if the broke it they would pay for it!! ha
