For those who have read my "bang" thread, today was a big day:

1. The repair work final estimate came to £13827
2. The insurer has written off FEVIO - my policy does cover me for the full amount I paid (invoice amount)
3. I have placed a new order! Back to the bottom of the queue! (ETA November)

Spec of FEVIO Junior:

JCW Sport kit internal
JCW Sport kit external
Pearl Leatherette
17" track spoke in black
Black roof and JCW spoiler
Media XL Pack
Sunroof
Folding mirrors
Tinted glass
Rear parking sensors
Rear camera
Comfort access
LED headlights, fogs and DRLs.

"What colour?", I hear you cry!

Well......... this past week has made me realise how much I miss a bit of orange in my life. Like his father, FEVIO Jnr will be VO :D

My insurer have paid for an Enterprise rental car until then... the pride of General Motors (a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 litre)

It does have a heated steering wheel though - which is novel

Looks smart! I really like the coloured side skirts but I've swapped to Blazing Red which apparently rules out the JCW exterior pack... Although the money would've done if the colour hadn't!

I also massively prefer the colour coded fuel filler cap to the chrome one on the S:-(

Also a shame you can't take the chrome off! Apparently it's stuck on so pretty difficult to remove... I'm going to give it a few weeks after delivery to see if it grows on me but if not I'll be off to hopefully get it wrapped in gloss black along with the rear headlamp surrounds and some of the chrome on the front:)

Wow Profiteroles... what a way to get a second chance at a brand new car. You must have been through all the emotions these last days...

I've been on edge wondering what the outcome would be!

Now I am a cash buyer (insurer are sending me the cheque) I got a better deal on Junior too... £800 off OTR price!

I'm so pleased to hear your insurance company are replacing Fevio Snr. I really think this is the best outcome for your own peace of mind in the long run -and November isn't that far away!

Your new car sounds a cracker, enjoy your Corsa in the meantime...

Glad they've written it off, but surely that should be illegal, ordering such a cracking spec for the replacement...:D

Only joking, that looks great, the front bumper is even growing on me.

Enjoy the corsa, the mini will feel even better after driving that for a few months.

A fantastic outcome, profiteroles: I don't think that Fevio would ever have felt the same...and I am loving that JCW spoiler on the Cooper...looks somehow more pronounced without the S bonnet cut out!
Did you have the parking cam on Fevio, or did you splurge on extras you wished you'd had first time around?
And saving £800 into the bargain...what a result.
That should compensate you for only being able to drive at night until Fevio Jnr arrives (who the **** wants to be seen in a Corsa!)

Fevio had only Chili, visual boost with basic Nav, rear sensors and LED headlights - the camera, JCW bits, sunroof, comfort access, folding mirrors and media XL pack are all new to Junior :) It's quite nice to be able to have a second chance on adding the bits I wished I'd gone for!

I get the corsa for 7 days after they send me the cheque to cover the amount - then I have to fund my own rental car and claim back separately off the third party insurer - but I will probably stick with enterprise's cheapest offering (£17 a day!)

I went for the cash settlement rather than them order a replacement identical model - that way I am able to add my own money to it to get something better :D

The corsa is truly awful, it sounds and performs like a hoover.
