Hi,

We got confirmation yesterday our MINI was at stage 5190 - Bodyshop Complete. Had a check at the below link this morning and the VIN number wasn't showing up. Just looked now and our MINI is showing with all our options.

I'm guessing this means it has finished being built and will now be waiting deliver to our dealer?

If so, this is great news as wasn't meant to go into production till next week. Was a month ago today that we went to MINI to see about placing an order so this is a very fast turn around.

Many Thanks for this I just put in my Vin Number and low and behold mine appears production date 29th October, be interesting to see whose gets to dealer first. I was told to expect pick up around the 14th, I wonder what the extra 2 weeks form production is for!
Incidentally does anyone know what P7L5A Wired means?

SimonT - That does seem a long time till pick up. I will be happy if we can pick it up around the 15th November but will have to see what the dealer says. Not had an update from them yet today but would expect email from them later hopefully.

We do have some extra bits to be fitted at the dealers so will probably delay the pick up by a day. Having Union Jack graphic on the roof and the side indicator surround fitted.

Where did you guys get your VINs from? I asked the sales guy at my dealership and he wasn't able to tell me, yet he said my MCS has been built already - so it must have one! We are still waiting for our Cooper to be built I believe... Shame that some sales people don't seem to appreciate that production/status updates make the wait more exciting/bearable!

Your dealer should be able to send you the following screen print of your car order. It gets updated with the status of the car and shows vin number once updated. I had my vin number since last week but went into production yesterday. The number you search by is the Chassis number.

I was given a form to sign confirming my details to register the vehicle . The VIN was on that form. Hope that helps

Update on the delivery - Dealer has sent us an email this morning advising the car is at their compound in Newbury. They advised they can make arrangements for delivery from the 17th November as he needs to get the graphics and side indicator surround fitted.

So looks like we will be picking it up on Friday 22nd Novemeber, unless we can get them to have it ready for the weekend of 15/16th November.

Went to the dealers last Saturday to sign the finance paper work and the new car registration. Have agreed to pick up on Friday 21st November.

Dealer is going to send us a video this week with what the Union jack graphic should look like on it. We've told them we want to make sure the graphic goes as close to the edge of the roof as possible. The wife had the same graphic on her previous 2007 MINI, but when she picked it up the graphic had a big gap all the way round, even though the dealer said it wouldn't. So we are just making sure as they do have two sizes now, and we will not get it if it looks odd.

Expect lots of pictures the day we pick it up.

Very exciting Cooper_sport, mine I believe is at the dealers compound and just waiting to arrive at the showroom.I m hoping it will be ready this weekend. I really cant wait.
As an aside I wanted to change my wheels post production and it was a mammoth task for MINI but we got there. A bit of persistance form me, great Customer Service at MINI UK and my dealer.
I ll have to drive around on the old ones til mid December and then they ll do the swap.
Super excited and will post pics with the before and then after wheels for comments.
