Time to make my final decision fora JCW order. Color choice has been my biggest issue as I have history with Minis and want to pick the right combination. Below are my options ... appreciate your inputs:

- Pepper White / Chili Red ... my personal favorite, but no history

- Chili Red / White ... matches the vintage race car I ran for years and is true to the Monte Carlo winning Minis of the 60's ... also matches the flame trim of the 90s

- Rebel Green / White ... matches the WC50 colors and the 1960's racing cars ... also matches the 1990 "Racing Green" special that my wife had and loved ... also is the classic JCW combination

- Rebel Green / Red ... looks great but no history other than looks great

- White Silver / White ... no history, but beautiful combination

Appreciate your inputs ... need to make a final decision soon.

Rebel Green/Red looks like a Xmas Tree on Wheels too me. My Dealer had one in there used car lot not my cup of tea.

My 1st choice would be pepper/red they car looks great in that combo imho
2nd moonwalk/black moonwalk white
3rd rebel green/white

I guess I am no help either....:D:D:D

(IMHO):

BRG and white roof or Rebel green and white roof or Red and white roof = elegant colors and all very classic MINI

Midnight black and red roof = color is very nice but difficult to keep clean

Rebel green or Lapisluxury with red roof = color a little too flashy / too much contrast

Electric blue or Volcan orange and white roof or black roof = quite rare colors and should appeal to first visual impact

White silver and white roof or black roof = elegant or White silver and red roof = elegant and sporty

Pepper white and red roof = simple and sporty (very similar to the previous)

Melting silver and Moonwalk grey = colors that did not convince me much

and finally here is the choice: THUNDER GREY and red roof (elegant and sporty) =
dark but not too bright, more or less depending on the sunlight or artificial light, exclusive color MINI that recalls the sports version of the MINI GP2.

Within a few days it should be tagged and brought home ...

Thunder grey with red roof is very nice but my advice to anyone contemplating a color combo is as follows: Look at as many colors in person as possible is my advice! The configurator is nice but can be misleading....in the end it's your decision. Choice of wheels also makes a huge difference!

My only color advice is if you are choosing a color that is easy to keep clean just compare it to a color "in person" to a color that supposedly is not easy to keep clean and decide with your eyes which makes you smile!

Every time I think a red roof would look better on my Midnight Black Metallic JCW I consider it for a second then say "nah"....oh, btw black looks awesome on the F56 MINI!

Pah, no taste... Rebel Green is very dark, looks almost black in low light. Lovely colour, especially with a red roof.

There are a lot of white/red combo's out there, agree that red with white, & BRG with whte are classics, but this is a new mini, you need to make history, not stick to it... >:D

I like that. Make history! Great and sums it up! Am i sad in that i like all the combinations mentioned but if you're having a jcw red symbolises jcw. Id choose it over white roof, stripe combos. Red looks good with the dark blues and green and actually lifts any colour other than a red mini. Then you need black!!!

The best thing is go to the dealer and look at all there cars/colors. I built several Mini,s on the site and liked a color than went to the dealer and I was not impressed with the color when I looked at the car in the sun. Play it safe nothing worse than picking up your new Mini and not been happy with the color you picked.

Have to agree with this. When I first saw my Lapis/Red JCW I wasn't 100% sure, it was a stock car that had been ordered for the showroom and was in their holding garage. So I asked the Sales Manager if they could get it out in the sun, and once it lit up I knew I had to have it...

I have a fair amount of history with Mini, some of which is very emotional:
- 1964 MCS vintage race car (Red/White) ... classic and huge fun
- 1990 Mini Racing Green (BRG/White) ... drove all over the BENELUX countries/Germany/etc.
- 2006 MINI Cooper (Royal Gray/Silver) ... really nice color ... beautiful car
- 2009 MINI Cooper S Clubman (Sparkling Silver/Black) ... still have it ... very nice car

One thing I really want is a combination that is not common , but is distinctive. Thoughts on my short list:
- Pepper White/Red ... love the combination, but fairly common ... it is my personal favorite
- Chili Red/White ... great combination, classic Mini, not seen any other JCWs in this combination ... MC40 tribute ... wolf in sheep's clothing ... not to mention, very pretty
- Rebel Green/White ... MC50 tribute with right options ... classic Mini ... great color (reminds me of my 1964 Cortina GT)
- White Silver/White ... very unusual, but very classy ... there is a local MCS with this combination ... it is awesome

I do like the greys and blacks as well ... the car looks awesome in the dark colors. Tough decision, but getting close. Just wish the interior options were as diverse.

Not sure how close you are to making your decision, but I like your rebel green/white roof combo, and totally get the WC50 comparison, that's what I spec'd up when I thought I had some money:(

I also spec'd up pepper white/red so I wouldn't pay extra for paint, and that looked great too.

I went with pepper white/red roof, but as mentioned it seems to be a "common uncommon" color for the jcw. I also have the base seats and offwhite interior package which helps to tie it together a bit more. I mostly went with that combo because it was a lot car, but my larger concerns were interior and option related which it met almost exactly.

If I was doing it again I'd probably do white silver/red w/jcw stripes, but with the jcw stripes the pepper white/red looks pretty good. It does look clean and somewhat interesting with no stripes though..

I fell in love with the black lights rings. And still has not come home the JCW...

Part of the problem is that almost all of the combinations look great.

Meeting with my local (60 miles away) dealer this weekend. Asked to drive JCW with sports suspension, and any car with DDC. Also asked for extended test drive ... waiting for approval for that ... very disappointed if not since we have bought two cars from them in the past.
