Just thought I'd post this cause I was confused at what the heck it did and then I realised... I'm guessing this is supposed to help you get in and out of your car in tight spaces?

Your menu looks different than my US menu - and mine does not roll down the window.

On mine, that setting is to change the behavior of the comfort access button on the door (if equipped) or the unlock button on the remote. The options are to unlock just the drivers door or all the doors.

Why would having the window roll down make things easier?

I'm guessing cause the window curves a little, having it rolled down in a tight parking space where you can only open the door a little makes it easier to get the top half of your body in?

I had to close my eyes and imagine it, but that makes sense :)

Does the manual say anything about it? I wonder why the US models don't have that... I mean narrow roads and spaces are not as common, but they do exist, especially here in Seattle.

I always wondered what comfort access did... please excuse my ignorance, but I guess when it's switched on the window retracts completly on opening the door? Both driver and passanger? Does this happen everytime? I like the idea, but doesn't sound great for a rainy day .

If you click the YouTube link I posted I did record it, you have to double click unlock on the fob for it do it. If you single click it just opens all doors as usual, unless you prefer the drivers door only setting.

But yes! +1 on the rainy day scenario.

Sorry, I was at work and didn't see the video. Given you need to double click the fob, I guess you can avoid the rainy day scenario. But I'm not too sure how useful this actually is. I guess I'll have to try it when attempting to manoeuvre myself in/out of a tight space haha.

I am going to hazard a guess its a little more of a gimmick than something that's actually all that useful!

My dad and I fear the corner of my mum's frameless MINI window, it's hit us in... or we it... when getting in/out of the car. Right in the head... ouch.

Maybe it just helps those who are less aware of transparent objects...
