Hi guys!!!!
Well, we have a small child and maybe a second will come soon :), we do like the new Mini F55, so much!!! but we've just some concerns about the rear and the boot space...
Would it be enough in your opinion? Consider that we have another car, a Mercedes A Class W169 coupe (3Doors)...maybe should we buy a roomier car such as a BMW series1 or an Audi A3 SPB?
We're really uncertain about the choice, we like MINI F55 but would we be able to take a trip 4 people with a couple of bags and 2 strollers for instance???

f55 space

I think you need to go and have a look and take a test drive; we take loads in our f56 but I have specified roof rails-roof bars and top box is a really easy fixing job then and you would be amazed how much you can get in-don't buy the mini roof box though-it is too small-go down the thule, karrite route (we have an odyssey-takes the whole roof up but we get tons in there!)

If I am not mistaken the is a special luggage option for the f55. It give option to lower the floor. Tip: get a stroller of a friend and try to fit it in :) with some bags.
And with child seats : you have room under the seats, where grown ups put their legs :)

I understand the F55 has about 25-30% more boot space than the F56 as well as nearly 3 inches more rear seat leg room. The front 1/2 of the cars are identical. All the added length of the F55 is in the rear with a more angular sloped rear hatch compared to the more vertical hatch on the F56.

Believe the F55 is also a bit wider on the rear seat interior than the F56. With the wheelbase about 4" longer on the F55 (about 101" versus 97" on the F56), the ride should also be smoother. I plan to place my order for an F55S in early Nov for a hopeful Jan delivery here in sunny Florida.

I went to see a physical F55 this week at Sytner Mini, their very first one received!
Took some pictures too. The boot is surprisingly big and has a great split height floor you can adjust. Rear doors are really dinky, but there's plenty of room for easy access to the seat bench. Even in my driving position (and I'm 6"1), there's room for me behind the driver's seat in the same position.
Really impressed and ours is delivered on UK launch day!!!
