I just called my Mini Dealer to find out when my car would be ready from having all the trim pieces installed and have been informed by my Service Pro that my car got a open Recall for the Crankshaft Sensor.

So they doing the inspection today to see what the outcome will be. Glad my Service Department is on the ball making sure my Mini is in good shape but honestly it is a little disappointing that they have to open the engine already with 22K on the clock. I do not have all the details yet if there is any wear on the cam itself etc etc.... I will keep you posted when I got more info.

I am not in a panic here what really stinks is that I am now trapped a bit longer in the Nissan Versa.:crying::crying:

Not 100% sure if my rep said sensor or bearing but there is an open recall on my car and they have to order the parts. I will call later today to get more info. I was not really awake when he called me. Nothing more exciting than have your dealer call you before the 1st cup of Espresso.

2015 Mini 3 Cylinder with man transmission. Cam bearings have been replaced under an open recall after they checked my Vin. All is fine with my Mini now. The 1st thing I noticed after they installed the bearings how quiet the engine is now.
