I think I read somewhere that we can customize the owners manual in the car by entering the VIN number somewhere. Does anyone know how to do this?

I find that the paper manual book is so generic, and half the time I'm reading about features that my car doesn't even have. The problem is that I don't always know that and spend an enormous amount of time looking for something that doesn't exist!

I believe that was the "MINI Motorer's Guide" app for the iPhone.
It has the option of entering the VIN for your car's specific manual and is better than the paper one.

Unfortunately the android version doesn't appear to support the newest version of android (5.0.1). But the iOS one does work on my iPad, so at least there is that.
