Do you beleive this. The TPMS is failing after only 50000km and the car dealer is asking me 240€ to pass the diag!! They not only fix they reliability issues, but they are asking me to pay to find the root cause of this TPMS failure. I don't get the point of taking the risk to degrate the image of the brand with this practice.
Plugging an OSBdevice on the network in order to download the diagnostic should take 5mn. what a shame !

Don't pay it, that is extortionate. My local independent charges me nothing for diagnostics, as long as I have the corrective work done with them. As you say, its a 5 to 10 minute job to plug the laptop in and read the codes.

It's probably a battery in one of the sensors. You could go down the Bimmerlink/ODB adapter route to read the codes yourself. It's a good investment.
