I have a December 2015 5 door MINI Cooper D. It has done just over 32000 miles with full service history. The car has today been into my local garage as the amber engine warning light was on. The garage uncovered 14 faults with the DIGITAL DIESEL ELECTRONICS! Two faults remain (26CF00 Fuel pre supply pressure too low) and 24CF00 (measured air mass too low compared with calculated air mass).
Diesel has leaked into the wiring loom and the ECU. Diesel was dripping everywhere. The bits that need replacing amount to C£2000 plus labour. I cannot believe that MINI have built a car that fails so soon. I do not think it was fit for purpose.
I would welcome any comments. Has anyone had a similar experience?
