In one of the threads here I saw a picture of somebody's center screen that had the album art on the left with track info (album name, track name, track number) on the right.

My screen displays the track info (no album art) when changing songs and then, after a few seconds, displays the album art with only the track name underneath until the next track change.

Is there any way to control/change this display? I looked for it but couldn't find any settings.

I think you need the biggest (nav?) screen to have this split screen facility.

I have the Visual Boost (6.5" screen). Are you saying there are bigger screens out there?

Yes the sat nav option gives you a 8" wide screen which has a split display option

Think you needed the Media XL pack for the colour screen, album artwork and such like. My MINI has and does display that but some albums (such as compilations) sometimes aren't recgonised.

I do have color screen with album art and such, just not the view I wanted. Because it automatically repeats the tracks from the beginning instead of stopping after the last track, I'd like to see the track counter (2/10, 3/10, etc.) on the screen all the time. But with mine, I only see that info for a few seconds between tracks.

FYI, check the meta data of your music files (MP3, FLAC) to make sure they include the artwork. You can even download artwork from the Web and add it yourself. That should solve your problem.
