I do not want to come across as a Sicko that cleans the Engine Bay with special Designer Brushes but I like my Engine Bay nice and tighty looking.;)

I can not remember how many times I looked at a nice clean Ride that I wanted to buy and the Owner went overboard to make the outside and interior looking like new but as soon as you opened the Hood all kind of critters jumped out.

I go over my Engine Bay once a month and give it a good spit and shine what is not an easy Job here in Arizona with all the Dust.

Remember the old Housewifes Tale a clean engine is a healthy engine......at least that was what my Grand Dad always told me. You could eat of his Air Filter Housing on his Audi Coupe.

So what is your dirty secret to keep the Bay looking good. Are you a Engine Bay Slacker or MR Clean?

Hubert that is gorgeous. Yes I'm an alco...... obsessive cleaner and regularly wipe our engine bays down and shine the plastic trim. I've always wanted an Alfa with the v6 engine in just for those chrome inlet pipes I'd never get sick of polishing. I polish the chrome tail pies on our minis too.

Angib, you got a good point there. ;) Believe it or not I have to go and rinse our Solar Panels off once a Month because of all the Dust in AZ so the roof gets a quick rinse too.

The reason that I like to keep my Engine clean easy to detect fluid leaks and a dirty Engine runs hotter. I bet that is an old Housewife Story too.:D

I guess it is an old habit that my Grand Parents drilled into me ...take good care of your things. My Company Semi is spotless too inside and out. LOL maybe I should go and see help.:|:D

I used to clean all my cars engine bays, then again I used to do all the servicing etc and it makes a much easier job if you can do these jobs without getting covered in crap.

Anyway it was a decent day today, so after I washed the cooper I thought why not.... I had some 303 Aerospace protectant in my last order from Polished Bliss which I hadn't tried yet, and I like it, easy to use, leaves a nice finish. Truth be told it wasn't that dirty before, bit dusty and a few leaves. Biggest gripe is the underside of the bonnet itself, there's that many holes I didn't want to use too much liquid when trying to clean off the factory sealant, so I'm about75% happy with it.

And any excuse for another pic :D

I know the tyres need dressing, but hadn't gotten round to it.

I just took an F56 in Melting Silver Metallic off the lot in July, clean engine bay, however I have a problem, there are nooks and crannies on the side by the props and a lot of leaves are in there. extremely ghastly! any advice on how to get in there? I wish my hands were smaller and longer for this task.
