Has the system ever stopped you from hitting anything did it lower your insurance. is there a radar in the bumper or just cameras in the mirror. could you post a pick of the mirror inside and out. just ordered a jcw today delivery last week June thanks for your help

Single camera behind the rearview mirror (pic attached). The front of the mirror (facing the driver) looks the same.

Being a camera based system, it has a few more limitations over similar radar systems. Pedestrian detection does not work at night and it can have issues working in direct sunlight.

I have the park distance control and camera. i love knowing exactly where the corner of my snowblower in the garage is located. Although I'm confident when I parallel park a car, it's nice not having the guess how close you are to the car behind you when you are backing into the spot or backing up to get enough room to exit the spot.

Its slowed me down when it detected the car in-front was slowing and I didnt press the brake fast enough, luckily noone has stepped in front of the car to test the pedestrian bit

I have geico and just ordered it. They told me it does not lower the insurance.
