Hello,

I bought a used 2016 MCS, its mileage was 10 miles.

It was rejected by first customer because of engine and exhaust lights on at first sight.

Dealer told me that the vehicle was fixed by coding.

Coding means that just turn off the lights? and is it ok to keep this vehicle even I already bought this?

some mechanics said, this situation is very common in the case of imported vehicles having long period, say 3-4 months, and if an alarm doesn't turn on again, it will be fine. :)

yes, i have a warranty. :)

maybe this is very uncommon to local customers. :)

I would just ask for the details of what was fixed. It may have been something very simple. Maybe a bad o2 sensor caused the exhaust issue or maybe it was just coded wrong from the factory...who knows. Ask for a report of what was done and don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you want until you feel good about the car. These cars live by the computer code they are programed with and the program is constantly changing.
