Hi wonder if anyone can help me; what am I doing wrong-some albums have the art showing when I play an album, some don't. I thought this was my fault as I downloaded everything off the usb stick I used in my last mini into this in one lump ie one go and some do some don't show. HOWEVER I have just bought Girl by Pharrel Williams-put the usb in the car-plays perfectly, with album art showing, then down load it to the hard drive and when played that way NO album art. VERY odd-any help or suggestions please-it's not that important as when driving you aren't supposed to be looking elsewhere but I do like this feature!

I have this problem too. I only use a usb stick as I don't have the Hard disk. I grab the music from my iTunes directory.

I have a theory that I only see the album artwork for the albums where I had to manually had to paste an album cover image as iTunes could not find it.

If it is a less obscure album and iTunes can find the album artwork easily it doesn't appear on my car.

This is just a hunch as my less well known albums (e.g. Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart) images appear but my more mundane albums (e.g. Artic Monkeys) the image does not appear.

It's a year later...

Thought I would throw in the issue I am having with the artwork.

Don't know if anyone else has had this issue or noticed it yet.

I use mp3tag as well to place the artwork into all of my music files (either FLAC or MP3). I keep the artwork size to 500 X 500 and usually no more than 200kB in size. The media player is hit and miss on whether it displays it or not. Weird thing is... when it does display it, it is not always the correct album art I attached to the file. For instance, I just put the Japanese Special Edition of INXS's album KICK on the drive the other day along with embedding the different album art cover and one of the songs came up on the media player last night. It displayed the original art cover instead of the cover I embedded with mp3tag. Really kind of strange that it does this. I have noticed this with several other album covers as well as I have several imported CD's that have different artwork compared to the U.S. versions (where I llive). Any ideas or suggestions?

I use EAC to rip and convert the CD's to FLAC and MP3. It does not grab artwork so I do that portion through mp3tag.

fixed on my mp3's

I have a 2016 F56 Copper with the visual plus unit. Until recently I was using my windows phone via the usb port and had album art. When I replaced my phone with an android model I transferred my music on to a usb flash drive and found some album art was displayed but not others. I realised the art work displayed were ones I had added as a jpeg file. So I copied all the album art to jpeg files and they now all work.
