had a call from my dealer today to inform me that the MC would be ready on the 21st July, 2 1/2 weeks earlier than I expected and that's with the modifications too!

I seriously can't wait now, only 6 weeks to go rather than nearly 9 (or longer as I was going to wait until September)!!

I bought mum a smart car a few years ago and have been stealing that every few days just to get to the gym etc I am missing not have a car every day though!!

it's a shame they messed you around so much and you have so long to wait. I do not like incompetent people, especially when so much money and emotions are involved. I sometime think they forget that.

Thanks Milo - unfortunately for me I'll end up being someone who will have to have waited a long time for my car

I'm really happy you're getting your Mini early. That's great news. I'm hoping mine will be early too. It's due for a week 28 build, week 30 delivery. But, my tax expires at the end of June, so going to wait until the last minute to renew and keep checking on the status every week. I know I can claim the tax back when I trade in, but not relishing parting with £99 just to tax a car for a few days!

If you want to claim tax back make sure you buy 12 months. If you buy 6 months (at a higher rate per month) and then claim back they only refund you at the 12 month rate, so you lose out.
