Hi I have a 2015 JCW and I'm struggling to demist the inner windscreen during these cold mornings , there is a row of air vents place at the bottom of the windscreen.. are these just cosmetic ? They should be functional but the only air i can get is from the centre air vent located on the upper dash ... any help greatly appreciated

What happens when you press the MAX de-mist button (should be next to the rear de-mist button or if you have element in screen next to the front de-mist button), should divert all air to screen and put fan to max setting?

Thanks for you reply ... I don't have an element in my windscreen sadly unlike my previous Ford, I can only get high pressure air from the centre vent absolutely nothing from the pair of vents that are located at the bottom of the windscreen , every car i have had these vents function .... 🤔

Might be a faulty flap actuator, can you get the airflow to redirect to other areas?

I agree , the front twin vents must be functional, but no matter what I try I cannot get air to come out of them ... ill contact mini tomorrow... many thanks ..

The circular front facing vents work , its only the long thin vents that sit just below the front windscreen that don't... only air that comes out is from the central circular vent ...

Do you mean these 'long vents'?

Mine blow air even when climate it set to auto. Then if I press the front max demist button, a hurricane happens:

There's the Max button illuminated second from the left.

If nothing's coming out with that activated, then I expect @anonemouse70 is on the money. A fault code scan might pick up an issue, but would that not flag up as a check control error on the computer? Maybe not all logged errors tell the driver?

I think a specialist visit might be in your future...
