F55 Cooper Australia

Hi guys,

First post.

Taking delivery of a F55 Cooper second week of March 2015, Brisbane Australia. Can any other aussies tell me what RON fuel they are using. BMW verbally tell me use 98 Ron but the fuel cap specifies 95 RON and the user manual states it will run on 91Ron.

Welcome to the forum mate, my F55 is also due in the second week of March in Melbourne, guess it will be on the same ship as yours and just counting days now.

I've heard from other owners that at least treat your car with 95RON, don't think there is much of the price difference between 98RON and 95RON here in Australia.

Hi Nidge.
I recently received my F56 cooper S and have been using 95RON as 98RON isn't available at my local station.
I think the manual (my electronic copy anyway) refers to 91 AKI. This is a US/ Canada rating which is equivalent to 95 RON.

use R98 is not much difference in price.
