Could i ask you how on earth you managed to get a build slot for that quick? That makes it around 3 weeks from order to build. Most mini dealers i've approached are quoting 8-10 weeks for delivery.

I'm in the UK so the lengthy shipping abroad is not part of the delivery process.

Uum, I'm not sure why!

I got my current dealer warmed up about it almost 6 weeks ago. The old one a month before that.

They said as long as I book a build slot (£250 blocked on card) which finalises June 1 then it can be delivered in the week of 15 June.

I booked the build slot with the better dealer almost 2 weeks ago (and cancelled the one with the rude expensive one).

I negotiated with two dealers and their delivery times was the case with both of them (Sytner and Inchcape) in South East UK.

So my mini is scheduled to be delivered Monday onwards and my MINI advisor has gone quiet!...

No reply to me... Hmm... I am rather anxious! Aaaaaaagh

I had a feeling they hadn't ordered it... And now suddenly they realise it's going to take ages to get. Sigh.

At least I'll get to try the car with the stock exhaust/power... They said when I come in for the install they'll fill up my tank.

Nice car mate, I love my F55 cooper SD, I got the dealer launch model end of Jan 2015, when it was 3 months old, one of the best cars I've ever had and first diesel for very long time, (petrol head), can't wait how for the F55 JCW, due next year

Thanks, yes the F55 seems to be very excellent so far. I'm pleased ^_^
