Question: Does the F56 feature electric steering like the F30 3-Series?

Answer: The R56 already has electric power steering. For the F56, they've done some tuning to the system and revised some of the suspension bits to try to improve feel and reduce torque steer.

The key question is just how effective are the efforts by MINI's (cough, BMW's) engineers? Guess we'll have to wait for the first reviews to determine.

Apparently with the different sport modes it changes the firmness of the steering. In my mind it would benefit when driving down the windy roads of course. Just looking forward to seeing what they have done to eliminate torque steer. Infortunately this is something we have to deal with for front wheel drive cars. i would love to see the geometry of the front subframe guided by the sway bar and end links.
