Interested too.
If you mean if the MC hood and grill can be replaced with the MCS ones... then I'm interested in finding this out too. Also, who would sell those parts and how much? I suspect replacements directly from MINI will come at a hefty price...

Well for me its not about pretending I have a Cooper S to show off... I could have actually afforded to buy one (luckily) but what I like is the Cooper engine. I haven't been able to try it (had to buy from BMW dealership, only option for me here) but I feel so many good reviews can't be wrong... that balance of fuel economy and performance is sexy to me.
Having said that, I do like the back bumper/spoiler/front grille of the Cooper S better. I wasn't going to pick up a Cooper S just for the exterior trim, so I'm just hoping to combine best of both worlds.

That's MINI of Plano (Texas) where I took delivery of my Pepper White F56 last month. Next time I'm there (free car washes) I can ask one of the service mangers a question or two if there's something you guys want to know about installation, etc..

Ah very cool... How do you like your MC so far n0rthwest?
I wish I hadn't waited so long to get a MINI. I haven't had this much fun since my old Mazda RX7 and this is a much nicer car. The hardest thing so far has been keeping my speed in check. Lots of speed traps on the highway here and the MINI likes to fly.

I contacted Sewell yesterday, and they can`t confirm/guarantee that the swap will work. I asked my dealership when I picked up the car, and they couldn't confirm either. I think i'm going to order the part locally from my dealership in a couple weeks, and see if I can get a mechanic friend of mine to install it. I will report back if I go thru with it.:nerd:

5 mins??? On an F56??? I'm pretty certain you have to remove the whole front end to get the grille off.... I'd like to know how if you did.

Because mini make more profit on the s and they want it to look different enough so people not so interested in the better performance will still buy it for better perceived status value etc.

I'm sure that's right Jeremy, but it could back fire in some cases... for example, the mini one comes with a nice black radiator so people who like that might not bother with a chromey cooper.
I guess I just don't like their attempts to arbitrarily partition the market... for the people who care enough to decide what they want, wouldn't it be nice to provide a way to have it?
They could even put a premium price on it... upgrade any part to a non-standard colour of your choice for paint, grilles, handles, light surrounds etc.
