Don't you just love salespeople; some are scarey and really don't deserve the job. When we bought our latest; clubby s, finance manager jokingly offered me a job as I knew more about the car than him (and I showed the salesman one or two thiings too but he was new). I was quite tempted-but I think he was joking, mmmmm!

I know I'm miles away from where you're having issues with the dealer but I struggled down here in Plymouth also. I had spoken to the salesman a number of times and inquired about one on the website up in London, he rang back and said it was no longer available. A month later it was still online so I rang him again and asked him to inquire about it, waited a week and heard nothing. Contacted the dealership in London myself and they said they hadn't been contacted once about the vehicle and by the end of the week I drove it out of their showroom

As James ssys you really mustn't hesitate to shop around. Good dealers should have our business and the poor ones need to go! Or at least get a wake up call . travel a few miles it may well pay in the long run.

To update the thread, I visited the dealership again yesterday and test drove an auto Cooper S as it's the closest thing they have to the JCW at present.

Lets just say, things got a bit heated when negotiating. I'm close to deal but still think theres room for improvement from them. I'll keep you all updated but it looks like I'll be ordering within the next few days.
