Sure, I installed a K&N on my F56. It's a perfect fit, certainly it provides more airflow and is less restrictive than the stock paper filter. The K&N didn't change the intake sound, I'm not sure if it impacts fuel mileage, and any performance improvement is likely more imagined than real. But I have no regrets and have made the same change to my other 2 cars (2007 Honda Fit Sport, 1980 Fiat Spider 2000.)
