ST coilovers are same as the much more expensive KW but with galvanised steel instead of the Inox finish which may have a little less protection against corrosion.

They would get my vote on a budget.

I have seen a set on ebay UK for £470

Thank you for the help it can be hard to find modifications for newer cars so appreciate it. Have you had experience with them? As in are they good or as good as the Kw?

They are made by KW and from what I have read the ST is the same unit as KW v1.

The KW v1 is only Inox finish on front.

They also have ST XA which have adjustment for rebound same as KW v2 but with galvanised steel.

One thing to note is that rebound adjustment for rear is not accessible without removing the damper so unless set right its a lot of trouble to adjust.

KW do make extended rebound adjusters but some bodywork will need to be cut/modified to see if they can enter the rear boot. I did take a look at the rear and didn't see any easy route.

To be honest I don't know if I have electronic dampening how do I tell?

You should be able to tell if you switch it to sport mode, the suspension stiffens up.

I assume you did not spec your car up from new? It's an optional extra the Variable damper control.

The other method is to look under the bonnet and see if there are electrical connector on top of the front suspension strut.

If you have electronic viariable dampers only KW have coilovers that cancel the electronic damping control.

If you have the normal passive suspension then there are more choices inc. ST, Eibach, H&R, KW, Bilstein etc....

Ok thanks only reason I didn't know was because of sport/green modes but that feels as though it changes throttle response rather than suspension

Yes it changes throttle response, steering weight and suspension stiffness if you have the vdc option
